How Much Does a Professional WordPress Website Cost for a Business in Saudi Arabia and Qatar in 2026?

Most business owners ask the same question before taking any step: how much will a professional website cost me? The answer they usually hear is "it depends on the project", which is true but does not help anyone make a decision. In this guide I give you clear price ranges for 2026, explain what raises or lowers the cost, and show you how to compare quotes from developers and agencies with confidence.

This guide is part of the WordPress Websites & Care section, and it is based on the prices I use in my own services and my experience with businesses and stores in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Quick summary: a custom business website of up to 8 pages costs $250 to $550, a full website or WooCommerce store costs $550 to $1,000, and projects that need custom development start from $1,000. Details below.

Why do website prices vary so much?

You may receive two quotes for the same website, one double the price of the other, and both called a "professional website". The reason is that the word "website" covers very different things: a ready-made template in your brand colors, a custom design built around your goals, or a full platform connected to other systems.

So do not compare prices before comparing what each quote includes. The ranges below help you find the category your project belongs to first.

WordPress website price ranges in 2026

The prices below are in US dollars, the currency I quote in, with approximate equivalents in Saudi and Qatari riyals. All are one-time payments per project.

WordPress website price ranges in 2026: company website, full website or store, and custom development

Tier 1: Company website ($250 to $550)

Approximately 940 to 2,060 SAR, or 910 to 2,000 QAR.

Suitable for startups and professional offices that need a clear online presence: a custom WordPress website of up to 8 pages, responsive on mobile and tablets, presenting your services and receiving contact requests.

Tier 2: Full website or online store ($550 to $1,000)

Approximately 2,060 to 3,750 SAR, or 2,000 to 3,640 QAR.

Suitable for businesses that need more than a company profile: a custom WordPress theme with unlimited pages, or a WooCommerce store ready to sell, with one integration with an external system or API.

Tier 3: Custom development projects (from $1,000)

Approximately 3,750 SAR or 3,640 QAR and above.

Suitable for platforms that need custom plugins, multiple integrations with other systems, or a monthly retainer for ongoing development. The scope and price of each project are defined after studying its requirements.

What increases the cost of your website?

Bilingual content: An Arabic and English website is not just a translation. It is a full technical setup covering RTL text direction, fonts and search engine settings for each language. It is one of the points project owners underestimate most, and it is covered in my Arabic localization and RTL service.

Store and payments: Integrating local payment gateways and buy-now-pay-later, and setting up shipping and tax, adds real technical work, but it is what turns visitors into buyers.

Integrations: Every connection with an external system (accounting, shipping, WhatsApp messaging, booking systems) needs development and testing.

Custom design: A design built from scratch around your identity costs more than adjusting a ready-made template, but it sets you apart from competitors.

Content: If your texts and images are not ready, preparing them becomes part of the cost or the timeline.

What should you never compromise on to save money?

Some items look removable during negotiation, but leaving them out costs you more later: a mobile-responsive design, because most visitors in the Gulf browse on their phones. Speed, because a slow website loses visitors before they read your offer. Security and backups, because recovering a hacked website costs far more than protecting it. And ownership of the website and accounts in your name, so you are never held hostage by any developer.

Ongoing costs after launch

The build price is not the only cost. Budget for yearly domain and hosting renewals, which vary by provider and site size. Also budget for maintenance, because WordPress and its plugins need regular updates and monitoring.

My maintenance plans start at $49 per month for informational websites, $99 for active business websites and stores, and $199+ for high-traffic websites, and you can cancel anytime. Details are on my maintenance and support page.

How do you compare two quotes?

Before choosing the cheapest, ask these questions about every quote: Is it written and detailed by pages and features? Does it define how many revision rounds are included? Does it state who owns the website, the design and the accounts? Does it include support after launch, and for how long? Does it set a clear timeline?

A quote that does not answer these questions is not cheaper. It just postpones the cost.

And if you are choosing the developer too, here are 8 questions to ask before hiring a WordPress developer.

Frequently asked questions

Does the price include hosting and the domain?

It depends on the agreement, which is why the written proposal must state it clearly. It is always better for hosting and the domain to be registered in your own name.

How long does it take to build a website?

It depends on the project size and how quickly the content is provided. The timeline is set in the proposal before work starts, so you know when to expect each stage.

Why WordPress and not a hosted platform?

Because it gives you full ownership of your website, flexibility to add and develop without limits, and it does not tie you to a monthly subscription with a single platform. It suits most businesses, while hosted platforms suit specific cases.
