WordPress Migration & Troubleshooting

Move, recover, and fix your WordPress website without the risk.

Moving a WordPress website should not mean broken links, lost data, missing emails, or unexpected downtime. I migrate WordPress websites between hosts, recover broken installations, resolve plugin and PHP conflicts, repair damaged databases, and handle critical technical issues with backups, staging, testing, and a controlled launch.

How the Migration Process Works

Zero Downtime. Zero Data Loss. Fully Verified.

Every migration follows the same tested process no shortcuts, no "let's see if this works."

01
Day 1

Pre-Migration Audit

The process begins with a comprehensive system snapshot, taking a full backup of all WordPress core files, media uploads, and database tables, while meticulously documenting all custom configurations, DNS records, email setups, and third-party integrations. This follows a strict safety protocol where a 100% verified restore point is created first absolutely nothing moves until the backup is tested, secured, and ready for deployment.

02
Day 1–2

Staging Migration

This stage covers transferring all core files and databases to the new host using a temporary domain, allowing for a comprehensive functional review before making any DNS changes. We execute rigorous testing across all critical site components including contact forms, payment gateways, member login portals, and email delivery systems to guarantee flawless performance and absolute feature integrity behind the scenes before the official live launch.

03
Day 2–3

DNS Cutover

The final launch relies on a seamless cutover strategy, where we lower the DNS TTL 24 hours in advance to guarantee fast propagation and schedule the live switch during your lowest-traffic window. To ensure absolute continuity, the old server remains fully live and active until the new DNS records propagate globally a transition that typically takes just 15 to 60 minutes, delivering a flawless launch with zero user disruption.

04
Day 3–5

Post-Migration Verification

Full functional retest on live domain. SSL verification, email delivery test, performance comparison, Search Console property update, and 48-hour monitoring.

FAQ

Common questions.

With proper DNS management, downtime is under 5 minutes for most migrations - typically invisible to visitors. I lower the DNS TTL 24 hours before cutover so propagation happens in minutes rather than hours. The old server stays live until I confirm the new one is fully operational.

WhatsApp me directly for urgent issues - I respond within a few hours and can often diagnose the problem within the first message. For confirmed emergency work (site down, hacked, admin locked out), I prioritize same-day resolution. Quote the issue type in your first message to get the fastest response.

Yes - this is one of the most common scenarios I deal with. I'll audit what changed ( plugin updates, server changes) and isolate the cause. If there's no version control, I use error logs and binary conflict testing. Most plugin conflict issues are resolved within a few hours.
